Design and Symbolism

The central arch depicts the Tempio Maggiore Israelitico di Firenze — the Great Synagogue of Florence, built in 1882 — with its distinctive green dome and Moorish Revival facade. The arch is flanked by two hand-detailed pomegranate reliefs with amber accents, a traditional symbol of righteousness and abundance in Jewish tradition.

Materials and Craftsmanship

Italian fresco style, with Italian mosaic and natural amber elements. Entirely handcrafted. The piece features a bronze “צדקה” (tzedakah) plaque and a coin slot in the lid.
