Shtern Amber — Memorial Boards, Donor Walls, and Premium Jewish Art Projects
Shtern Amber is not simply about decorative objects or standard nameplate panels. It is about artistic solutions for memory, gratitude, heritage, and Jewish space. In every piece, beauty and craftsmanship are joined by meaning, symbolism, and a sense of dignity.
For Synagogues and Jewish Institutions
We design memorial boards, yahrzeit walls, donor recognition walls, Tree of Life installations, and artistic fundraising projects for synagogues, Jewish schools, community centers, and charitable initiatives. Each project is created individually, with careful attention to the space, architecture, number of names, interior style, and overall vision.
Our approach is to create not merely a surface for names, but a complete artistic installation that becomes a natural part of the Jewish environment and reflects the significance of memory, gratitude, and spiritual heritage.
For the Home, Gifts, and Private Commissions
We create Jewish wall art, mezuzahs, symbolic panels, and original works that become part of a home, a family, and its memory. These pieces are for those who are looking not for a casual gift, but for something beautiful, meaningful, and deeply rooted in Jewish identity, artistic depth, and lasting value.
Such works are well suited for family members, dear friends, valued sponsors, business partners, and special occasions when one wishes to give something truly memorable and worthy.
The Artistic Foundation of Shtern Amber
Each work is made entirely by hand from natural Ukrainian amber and authentic Murano smalt from Italy. Our compositions are inspired by Biblical stories, prophetic visions, and sacred Jewish symbols — the Menorah, the Tree of Life, the Star of David, the pomegranate, images of Jerusalem, and the themes of light, memory, and blessing.
This is more than decoration. It is an artistic expression of Jewish heritage, created for homes, institutions, and community spaces.
Why Shtern Amber
We do not work in the spirit of anonymous mass production. What distinguishes us is our individual approach, artistic quality, and deep respect for Jewish symbolism.
Instead of standard solutions in acrylic, wood, or bronze, we create projects in which composition, texture, light, material, and atmosphere all matter. Amber brings warmth and depth, Murano smalt adds richness and nobility of color, while stained-glass and relief elements strengthen the presence of each piece within the interior.
The result is work that is perceived not simply as an object on the wall, but as part of the space and part of its story.
How We Work
Every project begins with understanding the purpose behind it. We study the space, the style, the intended function of the piece, and the wishes of the client. From there, we define the format, dimensions, materials, and artistic direction.
When the project is intended for a synagogue or institution, we also consider wall dimensions, the number of plaques or named elements, the possibility of future expansion, and the character of the interior. This approach allows us to create not random objects, but thoughtful artistic solutions designed to serve for many years.
Shtern Amber for Memory, Gratitude, and Jewish Space
Our works already adorn homes, offices, and public spaces of individuals and organizations who value craftsmanship, rare materials, Jewish symbolism, and meaningful design.
Whether you are looking for a memorial board for a synagogue, a donor wall, a Tree of Life installation, fundraising art, or a special Jewish piece for the home or as a gift, Shtern Amber will create a solution that is dignified, beautiful, and truly meaningful.
We do not simply create objects. We create artistic works for memory, gratitude, heritage, and Jewish space.
Yahrzeit Memorial Board 188 plaques
This synagogue memorial composition is designed as a unified Memorial Board, serving as a central visual and spiritual element within the synagogue interior. The project combines traditional Jewish symbolism, sacred sites of the Land of Israel, and high-quality craftsmanship typical of custom synagogue memorial plaques.
The installation consists of three panels and functions as a Synagogue Memorial Board or Yahrzeit Memorial Wall, allowing the community to honor members, families, and benefactors.
The central panel (approximately 130 × 130 cm) features a sculptural bas-relief inspired by Jerusalem stone, depicting three important spiritual landmarks: Rachel’s Tomb (Kever Rachel), the entrance to the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai in Meron, and the Tower of David in Jerusalem. Together they symbolize prayer, Torah wisdom, and the enduring connection of the Jewish people to Jerusalem.
Beneath the relief are 108 polished brass nameplates for engraved dedications.
Two side panels (60 × 120 cm each) resemble architectural windows and feature menorah compositions made from real stained glass in amber, gold, and deep red tones, symbolizing Ner Neshama — the eternal light of the soul. Each side panel contains 48 additional brass nameplates.
In total, the installation includes 204 engraved plaques, creating a meaningful Synagogue Memorial Wall that honors memory while connecting the community to the spiritual heritage of the Land of Israel.
Designed and produced by Shtern Amber, specializing in custom synagogue memorial boards, donor walls, stained-glass memorial installations, and Judaica architectural elements for Jewish communities worldwide.
BLESSING OF THE HOME
In the First Temple, the trees with golden fruits grow. Pomegranate trees grow just on the streets of Jerusalem. They are beautiful in bloom in spring and summer, and in autumn it is enough to reach out your hand to say a blessing over the pomegranate fruit. Pomegranate on gold is a picture of a peaceful and blessed home. And what could be more valuable than Shalom Bayis?
CHALLAH BOARD BLUE
We aimed to create a Challah Board that will be passed on to children and grandchildren and we succeeded. We are confident that this Challah Board will never gather dust in the closet - you will want to put it on the table every Shabbos. This is a great purchase for yourself or as a gift for someone else.
Pomegranates
"May my good deeds be as numerous as pomegranate seeds"
We revere the pomegranate for its beauty and symbolism: fertility, holiness, abundance. According to legend, there are 613 seeds in a pomegranate, which correspond to 613 commandments of the Torah.
This is a gift that will decorate any home and give the right thoughts.
Our Golden Temple
The Jerusalem Temple - the one that we had, and the one that was given to the prophet Ezekiel in a vision ... We will decorate our homes with an impressive amber artwork, where our craftsmen captured the traditional look of the Temple, down to such important details as giant lamplights in the temple courtyard, that is mentioned in the Mishnah.
770 Gold&Amber
The image of the 770 house, embodied in amber...
How gold leaf and amber play on the painting! How great is our joy to live here and now, in our time!
A small building physically - but a huge spiritual home. It is the center of life for Jews from all over the world - and at the same time, it is so cozy and joyful. By placing the work of our masters on the wall of our room, we emphasize the amazing connection between Jewish generations from different centuries and even millennia, asserting the approaching time of Redemption.
Shofar
The shofar is sounded all year round, not only during the fall High Holidays. The shofar has always called on the Jews together in times of danger, proclaimed victories and accompanied joyfully. And it is not for nothing that the spread of Wisdom is also called the “shofar”. Let the shofar into your home, and there will be more joy and happiness in it.
